2,1998 the Bee Gees announced in London a series of"One Night Only"
Concerts, One per continent, inspired by the '97 Las Vegas success. The
Brothers Gibb completed these incredible concerts to sell out crowds.

2000 included many promos around the world. Germany, UK, and in the US as
an A&E Special. Guest apperances with Good Morning America, Rosie
O'Donnell, The Tonight Show but we won't talk about the David Letterman
appearance. YUK! to that guy and his show.
The album "One
Night Only" of the live Las Vegas concert was released Sept.
7, 1998 in Europe and S. America. This reached #1 in the
UK, New Zealand, Argentina.
U.S. release was Nov. 3, 1998 and certified
gold. Way to go Barry, Rob, and Mo!!! Eagle Rock released a home video and
a DVD version. The Bee Gees have made the World Charts with this one as
high as #7 in late '98. (Check your local
music store.)
"Still
Waters" album released in the US in 1997 includes the hit
single "Alone" which reached #1 in the UK and #8 in the US. Get
this one for sure. You won't be sorry. My favorite on this album is "Irresistible
Force".
"Immortality"
written by B, R, and M Gibb, on Celine Dion's mega album "Let's Talk
About Love" released as a single in Europe '98. In the UK it reached
#4 jumping from #22 in 1 week and charted all across Europe.

- NEW BIO!!
FINALLY! Something I, have yearned for years...a new biography! THE
ULTIMATE BIOGRAPHY OF THE BEEGEES; TALES OF THE BROTHERS GIBB is a joint
venture by quite an impressive team of authors; Melinda Bilyeu, Hector
Cook, Joe Brennan, Andrew Mon Hughes, and Mark Crohan... Oct. 2000
Omnibus Press publication. A previously published 1979 biography simply
called 'Tales' is now out-of-print. A lot of BG history to cover in this
NEW biography so give yourself quite a few long nights to wade through
the details in this one.
- STAMPS:
The Isle of Man post office issued a set of commemorative stamps
Oct. '99 in honor of the Bee Gees and their island birthplace. Queen
Elizabeth II gave her approval in recognition of the brothers
contribution to British (and world) culture. This coincides with Robin
and Maurice turning 50 that year but don't expect pictures.....only
Royals get photos on stamps!

Fever the stageshow. This wonderful show played in London
beginning May '98. Opened Oct. 21, 1999 at the Minskoff Theatre , NY,
NY. Germany production opens in Sept.

- AGMF Fundraiser
was held May 29, 1999 in Miami, Florida. Maurice, Barbara, Ali, and Mom
Barbara attended to thrilled fans.
- GOOD NEWS!! VH1
has created a Bee Gees show for their "Legends"
series. Airdate March 7, 1999 then watch for lots of re-runs. This is
the best tv so far! Check your local
listings.
- Barry Gibb
made a special appearance at the
1999 Love and Hope's Silver Anniversary
Ball held on Saturday, January 23rd 1999 at the
Fountainebleau Hilton Hotel in Miami Beach. Barry sang "A Night of
Sinatra". His performance was incredible!
- VH1-
is heavily airing "Storytellers", 1 to One, PopUp videos
including "Stayin' Alive", several Midnight Specials featuring
the Bee Gees as hosts and guests, and The Ed Sullivan Show reruns have a
young Barry singing 'Words' with the origainal Bee Gees group. Also
catch the Bee Gees on Celine Dion's Special for the making of "Immortality".
Plus the "Behind the Scenes-Andy Gibb". Also Saturday Night
Fever, the original movie, and "Before They Were Stars", and "Where
Are They Now?"series feature the Bee Gees and their music.

- "One Night
Only" live concert from the MGM Grand Hotel in Las
Vegas, originally Nov. 14, 1997 was filmed for worldwide TV broadcast
and was rated second highest event on US Pay Per
View New Years Eve '97. US HBO and
various International airings throughout '99 continue in major markets.
Also shown on PBS in '99 for
USA. Check
your local listings.
- "Brilliant
from Birth" and "Assault
The Vaults" were released by Festival Records in Nov.
'98. This double set gives us a chance to hear the young Australian Bee
Gees in their early development stages. Online
music sites carry this.
- With the release of the live ONO album, the
Greatest Hits album planned for the end of '99 has been rescheduled. It
is not expected to come out until after the release of a
new studio album. Plans are to promote the
new album with 4-6 live shows in Europe in the summer of 2000.
- The Bee Gees received Dec. '98, the BMI/PRS
"Pop Award" for the
``Alone`` single, a prestigeous British
music industry award.
- "Keppel Road"
is an incredible video spanning the 30 + years of the Bee Gees career.
This is a must have for anyone even slightly interested in the stellar
story of the Brothers and how thier music has spanned 4 decades.

- Saturday Night
Fever, the stage production, again produced by Robert
Stigwood and featuring the Bee Gees Original Music as well as "Immortality"
ran in London, at the Palladium. It is
touring the USA now. I saw this while in London for the Wembley concert.
It is fantastic! (and I met Mr. Stigwood after the concert and got his
autograph!)
